Katrina

Flower and Katrina came to us on August 28, 2005. I was sure something would come along that would give me an idea for names. I'm not sure where Flower's name came from but Katrina was named before I had any idea how evocative that name would become. She became Katrina while the news reports were still saying how New Orleans had been really lucky to get by so easily!

Katrina was a bad storm and Katrina the cat tries to live up to her name. She does look a lot like Mickey, one of our first cats in South Carolina. I guess I wouldn't really say she's bad but she's so mischeivous that she gets into trouble all the time and she has a bad habit of sitting on clients laps until they say what a wonderful friendly cat she is and then biting or scratching them. She also knows when you are warning a client about that behavior and that seems to be her signal to bite or scratch them!
